To celebrate the release of my book "The Knitter's Guide to Hand Dyed and Variegated Yarns" tomorrow!
Lorna's Laces has graciously and skillfully dyed a custom color to help me celebrate! Be sure to wish Beth a happy birthday when you place your order for "Lorna's Purple Mustang" colorway.
And as my own addition to the celebration, I'm offering the shawl pattern for free. Please visit my website to download your copy!

I will try this again. Lovely shawl and color. Would love to win this as a gift from Lorna. Car is kinda neat too.
ReplyDeleteI love the no pooling effect with the color changes in this shawl. The beaded edge is nice!
ReplyDeleteI love purple too! But, I also really love orange ;). Would love to win the yarn to make this shawl - it looks like it would help to prevent me freezing to death at work this winter!
ReplyDeleteThanks!
This shawl is lovely - I like the beaded edge. Hope I win the contest :)

Purple is my absolute favorite color and the shawl pattern is lovely. The beaded border makes it extra special. I would dearly love to win this kit; it would be a great present for myself after all the Christmas knitting.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful, perfect purples. Love this colorway. And the shawl.
ReplyDeleteI just tried posting this but apparently it didn't take. The yarn is gorgeus and perfect for the pattern!

I love this new colorway and that book sounds fab too!
ReplyDeleteEnjoyed your presentation of yarn dying last night in Auburn. Truly appreciate you sharing your talents with our class. Your mustang is adorable. I have several classic cars myself one being a baby blue 66 mustang, but my favorite car is my 57 corvette. I love my cars too! ps purple is my favorite color also! Hope I win your generous drawing. I look forward to knitting a few of your designs.
ReplyDeleteLorna it was SUCH A TREAT meeting you last night at our Knotty Knitter's class! I read your whole first book last night in bed after class. And today I drove up to one of my favorite LYS's in Nevada City and bought some sport weight to start the shawl. You got my juices flowing! Hope to see you again some day! Good luck with the book and all your future endeavors!

ReplyDeleteLorna, your presentation to our knitting class was awe-inspiring! We once had a '65 Mustang and wish we still did. We used to drive it all over the Napa/Sonoma Valley Awwww..., the good ol' days! Enjoying your new book. Many blessings to you for a wonderful Thanksgiving. Linda

Lorna, loved the class today over at Auburn Needleworks. And I cannot wait until I knit up that little sweater for my granddaughter Chloe. Hope your drive over to Reno on Tuesday is a safe and good trip. From one purple loving lady to another!!!! Happy Thanksgiving, Liz
ReplyDeleteWell, I don't see any Mustangs in my immediate future (darn it!) but a shawl I can do!
ReplyDeleteHi, Lorna,
ReplyDeleteThe purse class was great! I am enjoying the new book, too. Pick me; pick me! Happy Thanksgiving.

Hello again Lorna,
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for that last minute purse class you gave. I was wondering how to finish a mosaic cat purse I was making, and your fusing method was the perfect answer!!
